Price lists refresher: everything you need to know in 5 minutes

  • Updated

A short summary of how price lists work. The linked guides have the full steps.

Create

  1. Go to Customers → Price lists.
  2. Click New price list.
  3. Enter a Name and a Priority. Priority is required. Use 1 for a single list.
  4. Select Drops, Customer groups, or both. A list with neither is never used.
  5. Turn on Add B2C offer prices when B2C customers need a sale price.
  6. Click Save price list.

An empty Customer groups field applies to every customer only when the list also has a drop.

Price types

In the price table In the Excel file Used for
WHS Sales price B2B wholesale
Offer Offer price B2B sale
RRP Rec retail price B2C, before VAT is removed
B2C Offer B2C offer B2C sale, before VAT is removed

A customer discount is calculated on WHS. It does not stack on Offer. The larger discount wins. A subbrand or category discount replaces the customer’s general discount on those products.

Update prices

Edit prices in the table on the price list. Filter the products, open Show prices, click a product, and click Save now.

For many products, click Update prices, download the Excel file, edit the prices, and upload it again. Tick Variants for both the download and the upload when the file has one row per SKU.

  • TRAEDE reads prices by column position. Download and upload before you add a currency or change Add B2C offer prices.
  • Use a decimal point. A value such as 12,5 is skipped, with no error.
  • An unknown item number or SKU is skipped, with no error.
  • An empty offer cell leaves the product’s own offer price in place.
  • Do not enter 0 in the offer price. The webshop can show the product as free.
  • A variant file fills in the product price for variants that have none. Upload it and those values become variant prices.
  • A file larger than about 256 KB imports in the background. TRAEDE emails you the result.

Assign

Setup When the list applies
Drops only Those drops, for every customer
Customer groups only Those groups, on every drop
Both Those groups, and only on those drops

If the order or webshop session has no drop, TRAEDE ignores the drops on the list. You cannot assign a list to one customer. Use a customer group.

Several lists

TRAEDE keeps the lists that match the most of the customer’s groups. Other lists are left out. Priority ranks only the lists that remain. A lower number wins.

On an order, those lists are combined. A variant price beats a product price from a list with a better priority. In the B2B webshop, only the kept list with the lowest priority number is used.
