When to combine price lists

TRAEDE allows you to assign multiple price lists to the same customer or customer group. In most cases:

  • Each price list contains prices for different products or variants.

  • There is no conflict, and TRAEDE will simply merge them into one complete price list.

✅ If there are no overlapping products, prices are merged automatically.

What happens when price lists overlap?

If multiple price lists assigned to a customer contain the same product, TRAEDE uses the priority field to decide which price to apply.

Example scenario:

Price list Assigned to Contains product Priority
List A Best customers Rubber boot 1
List B Best customers Rubber boot 2
  • Both lists apply to the same customer.

  • Both include a price for Rubber boot.

  • TRAEDE will use the price from List A, because it has the lowest priority number.

🔢 Lower priority number = Higher priority in TRAEDE

How to use priority effectively

  1. Go to the price list settings.

  2. Locate the Priority field.

  3. Enter a number (default is usually 1).

  4. Use lower numbers for the most important price lists.

Best practice and recommendations

  • ✅ Use one price list per customer or group whenever possible.

  • ⚠️ Combining multiple price lists increases complexity.

  • ❌ Avoid having multiple price lists with overlapping products unless you have a strong reason and understand how priorities work.

💡 Combined price lists are powerful but can make maintenance and troubleshooting more difficult. Use with caution.
