How to update price list prices
Step 1: Decide product or variant level
You can update prices in two ways:
-
Product level: All variants of a product will get the same price.
-
Variant level: Each individual variant (e.g. size or color) can have a different price.
⚠️ Choose variant level only if prices differ across variants. Otherwise, product level is easier to manage.
Step 2: Open the price list and click "Update prices"
Go to the price list you want to update and click Update prices.
A small menu will appear.
Step 3: Choose level and download Excel file
In the update menu, you'll see a checkbox labeled Variants:
-
Unchecked = Product level
-
Checked = Variant level
Click Download Excel sheet based on your selection.
Step 4: Edit the Excel file
In the Excel sheet:
-
Do not remove or change any columns.
- Do not change the sorting
-
Only change the prices.
-
Avoid writing
0in the offer price column.
⚠️ Removing or renaming columns will break the structure and cause upload errors in TRAEDE.
Product level example
If you chose product level, the file will show one row per product. Enter the price in the relevant currency column.
Example:
| Product name | ISO | Price (AUD) | Offer price (AUD) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rubber boot | ALL | 100 | (leave empty) |
✅ All variants of the "Rubber boot" will now cost 100 AUD.
Variant level example
If you chose variant level, each variant will appear separately. You can assign individual prices to each SKU.
Example:
| SKU | Product name | Size | Color | Price (AUD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RB001-37-BK | Rubber boot | 37 | Black | 100 |
| RB001-38-BK | Rubber boot | 38 | Black | 100 |
| RB001-39-BK | Rubber boot | 39 | Black | 120 |
✅ This allows fine-tuned pricing across sizes or colors.
Step 5: Save the file and re-upload it
Once you've updated and saved the file:
-
Return to the price list.
-
Click Select file on drive and upload your updated Excel file.
-
Ensure the Variants checkbox matches the file type (checked for variant level, unchecked for product level).
-
Click Update prices.
Step 6: Verify the prices
Search for a product in the price list to confirm that the new prices have been applied.
-
If you updated on variant level, you will now see different prices for different variants.
-
If all prices are the same, the price list will show one unified price.
Important tips
-
Do not delete columns in the Excel file.
-
Leave offer price empty unless you're creating a sale.
-
If offer price is set to
0, the item will be listed as free (not recommended). -
Empty values in currency columns will cause TRAEDE to fall back to the catalog price.
-
RRP (Recommended Retail Price) is optional.
