When more than one location can fulfill an order, TRAEDE shows a separate quantity row per location (or per combine group). Inventory location rules decide which locations are offered. Quantities you enter stay on that location unless the locations share a combine group.
Which locations appear on an order
Go to Settings → Inventory Settings and scroll to Inventory location rules. Each rule matches an order and lists the locations that can be sold from, in prioritized order.
- Add a rule and set matchers such as Country, Region, Order type, Customer, or Drop.
- In Inventory location(s) in prioritized order, add the locations that should be offered, in the order you want stock taken from.
- Optionally restrict the rule with Only allowed for users or Disallow users.
- Click Save at the top of Inventory Settings.
The first matching rule wins. If no rule matches, the brand default location is used.
Tip: A location also has to be purchasable for the person making the order (brand, agent, or customer). Turn those toggles on the location itself.
What buyers and staff see
On a new order and in the B2B webshop, each unmatched location gets its own quantity input. The caption on the row is:
- the order combine group name, if the location is in a group
- otherwise the location’s Display name when making orders
- otherwise the Location name
Example: Copenhagen warehouse is left ungrouped, so it shows as “Copenhagen warehouse”. A remote 3PL has display name “Remotely available (2-3 days extra delivery)”, so buyers see that instead of the warehouse name.
If two warehouses should look like one pool (for example both are “3 - 4 days”), put them in the same order combine group. See the related article on combining locations.
How quantities land on the order
When you type a quantity on a row, TRAEDE writes that quantity onto order lines for that location — or, if the row is a combine group, splits it across the locations in the group.
- Ungrouped location: the quantity stays on that location. It is not merged with other warehouses.
- Combine group: the quantity is one input. On save, TRAEDE distributes it across the locations in the group.
Approved orders keep those location assignments. Delivery status and available are then shown per location or group, not as one brand-wide number.
Delivery status per location
Once the order is approved, each location or group shows its own available and delivery status. A remote location can be green while your main warehouse is waiting on a production order.
Use Availability mode on the order to switch between delivery status and available. That preference is saved on your user.
