A linesheet is an Excel order sheet that TRAEDE generates. Your customer fills in quantities, sends it back, and you import it with Linesheet excel to create the order.
You can't build a linesheet by hand. It has to come from TRAEDE, because a hidden tab in the file tells TRAEDE which products, drops, and customer the sheet belongs to.
Getting a linesheet
Go to Sales → Linesheets, find the linesheet (or order sheet) you wish to use and click the excel icon (when hovered it says Export to Excel). The file has three tabs: Products, Product data and a hidden Meta tab.
Send the file to your customer, or fill in the quantities yourself. Only change the quantities.
Important: Don't delete or edit the Meta tab, and keep the file as
.xlsx. A sheet saved as CSV or with a changed Meta tab is rejected.
Importing the linesheet
- Go to Sales → Orders and click Import.
- Select Linesheet excel.
- Choose where the customer comes from:
- Get customer from linesheet uses the customer the sheet was made for. Only works if the linesheet is created for a specific customer.
- Select manually ignores the customer in the sheet and uses the customer and addresses you pick.
- Select a Customer. The upload field only appears after you've picked one, even if you chose Get customer from linesheet.
- Choose how to Create orders as, and pick a Drop if your brand uses drops.
- Upload the linesheet.
- Click Create order.
Fixing errors
| Message | Cause |
|---|---|
| Could not find meta sheet. Maybe somebody deleted it? | The Meta tab was deleted, or the file was saved as CSV. Export a new linesheet. |
| This is not a [brand] order sheet | The sheet was made by another brand. |
| Could not validate that somebody did not make changes to the meta sheet | The Meta tab was edited. Export a new linesheet and copy the quantities over. |
| Error: One or more line quantities contain invalid or non-numeric values… | A quantity cell contains text or an invalid number. |
The order also goes through the normal checks for stock, minimum quantities and credit limit. See [LINK: Importing orders] for what happens after you click Create order.
Linesheet import vs. Update with order sheet
Linesheet excel always creates a new order. To change the lines of an order that already exists, use Update with order sheet on the order instead.
