How to update prices on a price list

  • Updated

Change a few prices in the price table. Use Excel when you need to update many products.

Open the list from Customers → Price lists.

Edit prices in the app

The price table lists every product. WHS and RRP are shown at first. Offer is hidden until you select it.

  1. Use the product filter to find a product.
  2. Open Show prices and select the columns you need. The choices are WHS, Offer, RRP, and B2C Offer when that option is on.
  3. Click the product row.
  4. Under Product, enter the price for the whole product.
  5. Under Variants, enter a price for one variant when that variant differs.
  6. To set many variants at once, select them, enter the value under Set for N variants, and click Apply.
  7. Click Save now.

A product price applies to every variant that has no price of its own. A variant price applies only to that variant.

Clear a cell and click Save now to remove that price from the list. The catalog price for that field is used again. An empty Offer cell does not remove an offer that is set on the product.

Important: Do not enter 0 in Offer. The webshop can show the product as free. On an order, 0 is ignored and the wholesale price is used.

The table shows the currencies set on the brand. The Excel file can include other currencies. See below.

Update prices with Excel

Use a product file when every variant has the same price. Use a variant file only when prices differ by variant.

  1. On the price list, click Update prices.
  2. Tick Variants only when you want one row per SKU.
  3. Click Download Excel sheet.
  4. Edit the prices. Leave the other cells as they are.
  5. Save the file.
  6. Click Update prices again.
  7. Upload the file. Tick Variants only if the file is a variant file.
  8. Click Update prices.

A small file imports at once. A file larger than about 256 KB imports in the background. TRAEDE emails you when the import finishes. TRAEDE also emails you if the import fails.

Product file

The first two columns are Product name and Item number. Then each currency has Sales price, Offer price, and Rec retail price. B2C offer is included when Add B2C offer prices is on.

Variant file

The first two columns are Variant name and SKU. The price columns are the same as in the product file.

Rules for the Excel file

TRAEDE reads each price by its column position. Download the file and upload it before you change the list. If you add a currency, or turn Add B2C offer prices on or off, prices can land in the wrong columns.

  • Use a decimal point, for example 12.5. A decimal comma, for example 12,5, is skipped. TRAEDE does not show an error.
  • An item number or SKU that TRAEDE does not know is skipped. TRAEDE does not show an error.
  • Leave a price cell empty to keep the catalog price for that field. An empty Offer price cell does not remove the product’s offer price.
  • Do not enter 0 in Offer price. The webshop can show the product as free. On an order, 0 is ignored and the wholesale price is used.
  • The file includes every currency that exists on a product. The price table shows only the currencies set on the brand.

Important: A variant file fills in the product price for variants that have no price of their own. Upload that file and those filled-in prices become variant prices.
