Once Shipmondo is connected, TRAEDE handles booking, tracking, and printing automatically every time a shipment is packed. This article explains what happens behind the scenes so you know what to expect — and where to look if something doesn't show up as expected.
What happens when you pack a shipment
When a shipment is packed and fulfilled, TRAEDE automatically sends the parcel info to Shipmondo and books the label. No manual booking step is needed.
TRAEDE sends Shipmondo everything needed to create the label:
- Weight and dimensions of the parcel
- Sender and receiver addresses
- Customs lines, built from the product mapping configured in you Shipmondo app, in TRAEDE
Tracking numbers
The tracking number is saved onto the shipment as soon as Shipmondo books the label. If a shipment has multiple parcels, each one gets its own tracking number.
Printing labels
Labels, pick lists and delivery notes print according to the printer rules set up in your Shipmondo app in TRAEDEs app store.
Pickup and drop-point delivery
Shipmondo shipments can be booked for pickup or drop-point (parcel shop) delivery, not just home delivery. This is controlled by the product code, services, and carrier configured on the shipping method — see Adding B2B shipping methods and Adding B2C shipping methods.
Returns
If a return portal uses a Shipmondo shipping method, TRAEDE books a return label through Shipmondo automatically and attaches it to the return. See How to Set Up a Return Portal in TRAEDE for setting up the portal itself.
