Use Wait with shipping until order has been checked manually on an auto-ship rule when certain orders need a human review before they ship. Examples are high-value orders, new customers, or addresses you want to double-check. Matching orders are held on your homepage until someone clicks Check order.
Turn on the hold for a rule
- Go to App Store → Shipments.
- Open the auto-ship rule you want to change.
- Tick Wait with shipping until order has been checked manually.
- Optional: under Change order status, choose a status such as Needs check. Held orders then get that status, so they're easy to spot in your order list.
- Click Save.
From now on, orders that match this rule aren't shipped automatically. Instead, they appear in the orders that should be checked manually alert on your TRAEDE homepage.
Check an order
Clicking Check order is what releases the order for shipping. You don't need to do anything else.
- Click the house icon in the top left to go to your homepage.
- Open the orders that should be checked manually alert.
- Review the order: quantities, delivery address, customer and anything else you want to confirm.
- Click Check order.
When you click Check order, TRAEDE records who checked the order and when, closes the alert, and runs the auto-ship rule again. When the shipment is created, the order status changes to Being picked.
When the shipment is created depends on how the rule ships orders:
| Rule ships orders… | After you click Check order |
|---|---|
| When the order is created | The shipment is created right away. |
| At set auto-ship times | The shipment is created at the next auto-ship time. |
Note: By default, only admins can check orders.
Skip without checking
Skip without checking only clears the reminder. It doesn't approve the order and doesn't create a shipment.
So if you skipped by mistake you will have to go to the order and create a shipment manually.
Troubleshooting: my order didn't ship automatically
- Nobody has checked it yet. The matching rule has the manual-check hold turned on. Look for the order in the alert on your homepage.
- It was checked, but the rule uses auto-ship times. The shipment is created at the next auto-ship time.
- Someone clicked Skip without checking. Skipping doesn't create a shipment. Check the order manually and ship it from there.
