How to use the "Sell Ahead"

  • Updated

Introduction

The Sell Ahead feature allows you to see both available stock and incoming stock from production orders when placing orders. This helps with inventory planning and enables B2B customers to see upcoming availability in the webshop.

For more details on delivery status and availability, see this article.

How to Set Up "Sell Ahead" by Default

  • In your TRAEDE App Store, go to Production and find the option "Activate sell ahead by default".
  • Enabling this will automatically apply "Sell Ahead" to all production orders.
  • If you don’t want "Sell Ahead" to be used by default, proceed to the next step-by-step guide.

Step-by-Step Guide: Setting up "Sell ahead" on Production Orders

  1. Enable "Sell Ahead" on a production order
    • When creating a Production Order (PO) for a product, select the checkbox "Sell Ahead".
  2. Set the Expected Arrival Date (ETA)
    • This tells the system when the incoming stock is expected to be available.
  3. Please note, that production orders have to be put into production before they are included (i.e. you cannot use "Sell Ahead" from draft PO's)
