Introduction
This article gives a broad overview of the email settings page in TRAEDE. It is useful for anyone managing automated emails triggered by system events like order creation or shipment fulfillment. In future articles, we’ll cover how to create new emails and how to customize emails for specific customers or customer groups.

Understanding triggers and emails
On the Email settings page, you will see a list of existing emails, each associated with a trigger.

Trigger: An event that happens in TRAEDE (e.g., order creation, shipment fulfillment).

Email: The email sent when the trigger occurs.
This flexibility allows you to notify different recipients depending on the business case.
Managing existing emails
Click on any email (e.g., Order confirmation) to configure its settings.
Key settings available:

Active toggle: Enable or disable the email.

Override: Allows you to change default settings.

Recipients: Choose who should receive the email.
-
Default: customers, agents, internal addresses
-
Custom: add specific people that are not in TRAEDE

Subject line: Use plain text or variables like
{{ shop.name }}. -
Body: Modify the message content directly.

Attachments: Include documents such as PDFs, Excel sheets, or terms and conditions.
Example: Customizing the order confirmation email

Go to Email settings and select Order confirmation

Click Override for the Subject line
- Here you can change the title -
Under Recipients, click Override

Remove customer agents if not needed

Add your finance department:
financeguy@brain.com

Click Save to apply the changes
Your order confirmation email will now go to your finance team in addition to the default recipients.
Editing attachments
Emails may include:

PDFs: Default or custom templates

Excel sheets: Can be customized (covered in a later guide)

Terms and conditions
You can change templates or file names directly within the email editor.
Deactivating an email
If you no longer want TRAEDE to send a particular email, simply toggle off the Active status.
