Introduction
This guide walks you through how to use the consignment module in TRAEDE to manage consignment customers, move stock to their location, and register sales via import. This is ideal if you're placing goods at customer locations and invoicing them only when the items are sold.
Step 1: Convert a customer to a consignment profile
Go to Customers and select the customer you want to manage on consignment.
Navigate to the Consignment tab.
Click Convert to consignment profile.
✅ Once converted, you’ll gain access to product assignment, stock movement, and sales registration tools.
Step 2: Assign products to the consignment location
Inside the consignment profile, click Set products.
Select the products you want to make available at the customer's location.
Click Save.
The selected products will now appear in the profile, showing:
Your current warehouse stock
Stock at the customer location
Step 3: Move stock to the consignment location
Click Move on the desired product.
Enter the quantities per size or variant.
Choose a shipping method.
Click Move.
TRAEDE will now:
Create a move order in your Order list
Set a 100% discount (no invoice)
Create a shipment for fulfillment
Go to Orders, fulfill the shipment, and book the delivery.
Step 4: Prepare a sales report
Create a sales report file (e.g., using Google Sheets or Excel) with the following mandatory columns:
dateskuquantityprice(mandatory if you want to use custom pricing)
🧾 Quantities should always be positive. Use a negative quantity to indicate a return.
Example:
| date | sku | quantity | price |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2025-11-01 | abigail-blue-xs | 2 | 100 |
| 2025-11-01 | abigail-blue-s | 1 | 100 |
| 2025-11-01 | abigail-blue-m | -1 |
Save the sheet as a CSV file (recommended).
⚠️ Make sure the file formatting is clean — no Excel formatting, symbols, or data types applied.
Step 5: Set sales commission settings (optional)
In the consignment profile, go to Settings.
Set a commission percentage (e.g., 10%).
Select Recommended retail price under “Price source”.
⚠️ If you select "Wholesale price" and also import prices in your CSV, they will not be used. Choose Recommended retail price if using a
pricecolumn in the CSV.
Step 6: Upload and process the sales report
Go to Register sales in the consignment profile.
Upload your prepared CSV file.
Once uploaded, go to the Sales report tab.
You’ll see:
A breakdown of sold items and quantities
Any returned items
Price applied (either from the CSV or TRAEDE, depending on setup)
Step 7: Invoice the sales
Select the rows you want to invoice.
Click Invoice selected (or invoice all).
The invoice will be created and visible in the Invoices section.
You can then:
Click the invoice to review it.
Book the invoice as usual.
🗑️ You can also remove rows (e.g., invalid returns) before invoicing.
UPDATE:
The new format for representing the date is as follows: 01.02.2022 instead of 01-02-2022.
Additionally, we strongly advise utilizing Google Sheets instead of Excel.
