Price lists refresher: everything you need to know in 5 minutes

  • Updated

Introduction

This article is a quick refresher on how price lists work in TRAEDE. If you’ve already watched the detailed videos and read the in-depth guides, this summary is for you. We’ll cover creation, price updates, assignment, and priority – all in one.

Video guide

Step 1: Create a new price list

  1. Go to Customers → Price lists

  2. Click New price list

  3. Give it a name (e.g., New season prices)

  4. Set a priority (start with 1)

  5. Assign a drop (e.g., AV22 pre-orders)

  6. Click Save price list

Step 2: Update prices via Excel

  1. Click Update prices

  2. Choose whether to update on:

    • Product level (easier; all variants get same price)

    • Variant level (only if prices differ per variant)

✅ Use the Variants checkbox to control this before downloading the Excel sheet.

  1. Click Download Excel sheet

  2. Open the file and edit prices

Important notes:

  • Do NOT delete or move columns in the Excel file

  • Leave offer price empty to remove it (don’t write 0)

  • You don’t need to fill in every currency – TRAEDE will merge with default catalog prices

  • You can update the recommended retail price if needed for a new season

  1. Re-upload the Excel file:

    • Make sure the Variants checkbox matches the type of file you're uploading

    • Click Update prices

Step 3: Assign the price list

You can assign the price list using:

Option 1: Drops

  • Applies the price list to all orders placed using a specific drop

Option 2: Customer groups

  • Applies the price list to all customers in the selected group

Option 3: Both

  • Applies only when both the selected drop and customer group match

Step 4: Combine multiple price lists (advanced)

If a customer is eligible for more than one price list, TRAEDE will:

  • Merge prices across price lists if no product overlaps

  • Use the price from the price list with the lowest priority number if the same product appears in more than one

⚠️ Only use multiple price lists if you really need to – it can be harder to maintain.

Summary

✅ Create a price list
✅ Update prices via Excel
✅ Assign via drops, customer groups, or both
✅ Use priority to manage overlaps (if needed)
