In order for the price lists to work, they need to be assigned to customers. This can be done in two different ways.
- Drops
- Customer groups
Using drops means the price list should only be applied to orders made on a specific drop. Using customer groups means the price list should only be applied to orders made by customers in that customer group.
You can also use both at the same time on a price list. This means the price list only applies to orders made by customers in the customer group on that specific drop.
To assign drops and/or customer groups to a price list follow these steps.
- Edit the price group
- Add a drop and/or customer group to the price list
- Press Save price list in the top corner
Common use cases for Customer groups
Typically you will use Customer Groups for special pricing agreements with certain customers. That could be department store chains or larger distributors or similar.
Common use cases for Drops
Typically you will use Drops to increase/decrease prices in the coming season, but still keep the current prices as they are. Using this method you can make pre-orders with your new prices.
