Introduction
This article explains how to create B2B shipping methods in TRAEDE when working with System Transport.
B2C shipping methods follow a different flow and are covered in the next article.
System Transport will normally provide you with a document listing all available shipping codes — these are created and managed by System Transport, and you must coordinate with them to confirm which codes you should use.
1. Creating a B2B shipping method
Go to App Store → Shipments.
Click Shipping methods.
Click Add shipping method.
Fill in the following fields:
Label
Give the shipping method a name (e.g., GLS Export).
Carrier
Select the correct carrier (e.g., GLS).
Code type
Select System Transport.
This is critical — only shipping methods where the code type is System Transport will be transmitted to the warehouse.
Code
Once you select System Transport as the code type, a dropdown appears.
Choose the correct System Transport shipping code (e.g., GLS Export).
If a code is missing, contact TRAEDE support and we will add it.
Order types / Regions
Choose which regions this method applies to.
TRA EDE supports four regions:
Domestic – your home country (e.g., Denmark)
EU – all EU member states
Europe – non-EU European countries (e.g., Norway, UK, Switzerland)
Abroad – all non-European countries
Example:
If GLS Export applies to Europe and Abroad, select those two regions.
Click Save.
Repeat the process for each shipping method provided by System Transport.
2. Setting default B2B shipping rules
Once your shipping methods are created, you should define which shipping method is used by default for each B2B region.
Go to App Store → Shipments → Settings.
Scroll to Default shipping methods.
Click Add new rule.
Set:
Order type: B2B
Region: e.g., Europe, Abroad, Domestic
Shipping method: Select one of the newly created methods
Example setup:
| Order Type | Region | Default Shipping Method |
|---|---|---|
| B2B | Europe | GLS Export |
| B2B | Abroad | GLS Export |
| B2B | Domestic | GLS Business |
You can create as many rules as needed.
These rules only define what is selected by default — you can always override the shipping method directly on an order.
Click Save settings.
Notes & Best Practices
B2C shipping methods follow a different integration flow and will be covered in the next guide.
System Transport codes are managed by the warehouse, not TRAEDE — ask them if you need additional shipping options.
You may have multiple shipping methods available for each region. Default rules only pre-select one method but do not limit your options.
