How to setup Systemtransport

Introduction

This article explains how to set up the connection between TRAEDE and System Transport. You will learn where to enter your FTP credentials, how to configure basic settings, and which options to activate to begin sending and receiving files.

 

 

Install the System Transport app

  1. Go to App store in TRAEDE.

  2. Find System Transport and click Install.

  3. You will now be asked to enter your FTP connection details.

Enter FTP server information

System Transport will provide you with a document containing your FTP details. It normally includes:

  • FTP server address

  • Username

  • Password

When entering the server address in TRAEDE:

  • Remove the prefix such as ftp://

  • Remove any trailing slashes

  • The field should contain only the domain, for example:
    ediftp.systemtransport.dk

Enter the username and password, then click Install.


Configure the System Transport settings

Company number and department number

These values are also provided by System Transport. Add them in the corresponding fields.

Attribute mappings (optional)

If you use these fields in TRAEDE, you can select them:

  • Size

  • Color

  • Country of origin

  • Quality

  • HS code

Only select fields that you actively use.

Customer reference field

If some customers have their own order reference numbers, you can map this field here.


Essential activation settings

Run System Transport in production mode

Scroll down and activate:

Run System Transport in production mode

This should always be enabled.

Select inventory location

Choose your primary inventory location. This is required for correct inventory synchronization.


Enable receiving files from System Transport

To allow TRAEDE to import files sent from System Transport, activate:

Enable receiving files

This ensures inbound and outbound updates are imported automatically.


Additional options (only if relevant)

Return orders

If you and System Transport have agreed to use automatic B2C return orders, activate:

Enable return orders

Pieces vs. collies

If your company ships in both collies and single pieces, and System Transport handles both, activate:

Enable collies and pieces

Before enabling this option, contact the TRAEDE support team. Additional configuration may be required.

Most users should leave all other options deactivated unless explicitly instructed otherwise.
