This article explains how SEO data from TRAEDE synchronizes to Shopify, including product handles, meta titles, and meta descriptions. These fields help optimize how your products appear in search engines. All SEO fields in TRAEDE are translatable, allowing you to manage multilingual Shopify stores from one central location.

This guide is relevant for any TRAEDE user maintaining product SEO across multiple Shopify storefronts.

 

 

SEO fields in TRAEDE

TRADE provides three SEO-related fields:

  • Meta title

  • Meta description

  • Product URL (the handle)

These fields correspond directly to Shopify’s SEO fields.


Where SEO fields appear in Shopify

In Shopify, you can find these values under:

Product page → Search engine listing preview

Here you will see three fields:

  • Page title → synced from TRAEDE’s Meta title

  • Meta description → synced from TRAEDE’s Meta description

  • URL handle → synced from TRAEDE’s Product URL

When TRAEDE syncs SEO data, it overwrites the values in these Shopify fields.


Translations for multi-store setups

All SEO fields in TRAEDE support translations, meaning:

  • Each connected Shopify store can receive its own language-specific SEO data.

  • You can manage all SEO content for all stores in one place inside TRAEDE.

To enable translated SEO data:

  1. Use TRAEDE’s translation fields on the product.

  2. Set up locale prioritization correctly (see the guide How to set up translations).

  3. TRAEDE will send the correct meta title, meta description, and URL handle based on the store locale.

This is essential for brands running multiple localized Shopify stores (e.g., Danish, German, French).
