Sending a shipment to Ongoing and receiving a response

Introduction

This guide walks you through how to send an order to Ongoing WMS from TRAEDE using an existing shipping method. Once the shipment is created and marked as picked in Ongoing, TRAEDE will automatically complete the shipment and generate the invoice.

This guide is useful for users working with Ongoing Warehouse Management System and handling fulfillment via integrated shipping methods.

 

 

Step 1: Create a shipment from the order

  1. Open the order you want to send to Ongoing.

  2. Click on Create shipment.


Step 2: Configure the shipment

  1. You will now be taken to the shipment creation page.

  2. Make sure the correct products are selected. You can edit the selection if needed.

  3. Under Shipping method, select one of the Ongoing shipping methods (e.g., GLS Company Delivery).

  4. In the Delivery type field (top of the page), choose Pick immediately.

💡 Pick immediately ensures the shipment is sent to Ongoing right after it's created, allowing the warehouse to begin picking right away.


Step 3: Shipment is sent to Ongoing

  1. Once the shipment is created, it will appear in your shipment list.

  2. The shipment will be sent to Ongoing automatically due to the selected shipping method.

  3. The warehouse will pick the products in Ongoing and mark the shipment as completed.


Step 4: Shipment completion and invoicing

  • When the warehouse marks the shipment as completed in Ongoing:

    • TRAEDE will receive a confirmation.

    • The shipment will be marked as completed in TRAEDE.

    • An invoice will be automatically generated in TRAEDE.

✅ This integration streamlines the warehouse workflow and automates invoice generation once fulfillment is complete.
