Introduction
This article explains how to export the revenue report from TRAEDE to Excel, including how different report layouts behave once exported. You can export simple or complex reports with measurements, row sections, and comparison periods. TRAEDE will adapt the export format to match the structure of your report as closely as possible.
Export the report
Set up your revenue report as you normally would.
Click Export to Excel in the top-right corner.
Your Excel file will download automatically.
TRAEDE will generate an Excel file that mirrors your active report layout.
How TRAEDE structures the Excel export
Simple reports
If your report contains:
One row section
One measurement
No comparison periods
…the Excel export will display clean rows and columns matching your on-screen report.
Reports with one dimension (e.g., color)
If you add row sections such as Color, Category, or Season, TRAEDE will export these as separate grouped rows in Excel.
Example:
If you select Color and show only Total quantity, the Excel export will match that grouping exactly.
Exporting multiple measurements
If you activate several measurements (e.g., Total quantity, Net revenue, Margin), TRAEDE will export all measurements inside the same cell—just like they appear in TRAEDE.
Example (inside one cell):
Qty: 32
Net revenue: 12,800
Margin: 8,400
Note:
Because multiple values are stored in one cell, you cannot use Excel formulas (e.g., SUM) directly on these cells.
If you need formulas, remove additional measurements in TRAEDE before exporting.
Reports with multiple column dimensions
You can export more complex reports such as:
Comparison periods (Months, Weeks, Days)
Row sections placed horizontally (e.g., Subcategories as columns)
Multiple column dimensions such as Country + Period
TRAeDE will export all column layers in a readable format.
Example structure in Excel:
July July August August September September
Qty Revenue Qty Revenue Qty Revenue
TRAEDE repeats top-level column headers to ensure clarity.
Summary
The Excel export supports:
Simple and complex revenue reports
Multiple measurements
Multiple column dimensions
Comparison periods
All groupings and row sections
If your report becomes extremely large (e.g., daily comparisons across long periods), Excel may display many columns, but TRAEDE will still structure them consistently.
