Sorting the report

  • Updated

In this article, you’ll learn how to sort data within a TRAEDE report—whether you’re working with a standard table or a matrix dimension. Sorting helps you quickly identify top-performing products, revenue patterns, or any custom metric you’ve included in your report.

How to sort columns in a standard report

When opening a report in TRAEDE, the data is by default sorted by the first column, typically the product name in alphabetical order.

To change the sort order:

  1. Click on the column header you want to sort by (e.g., Total quantity, Net revenue, Revenue, etc.).

  2. The first click sorts the column from low to high.

  3. Click again to sort from high to low.

This allows you to quickly spot best sellers, highest revenue items, or returns.

Example: sorting by quantity

If you want to find out which product has sold the most pieces:

  • Click the Total quantity column once (low to high).

  • Click again to reverse it (high to low).

💡 Tip: When the Show graph option is enabled, the graph will automatically reflect the same sorting as the table.

How to sort in matrix reports

When using Matrix dimension in your report setup, sorting is still possible:

  1. Locate the column representing the matrix attribute (e.g., Color: Black).

  2. Click on the specific matrix column (e.g., Black) to sort the rows by that attribute.

  3. The sort will adjust to show which products performed best for that specific dimension.

Example: sorting by color in matrix

If you want to see which product sold the most in the color Black:

  • Click on the Black column.

  • The table will re-sort to show the product with the highest sales of that color on top.

Note: If your report includes multiple measurements, only the first measurement is used for sorting. Other measurements are ignored in the sort logic.
