Tracking production orders and deliveries in inventory list

  • Updated

Introduction

This guide explains how to use the inventory list in TRAEDE to track where your production quantities are in the process. You will learn what the In production, In delivery, and On the way columns mean, how they update, and how to move quantities between these stages by updating your production orders and deliveries.

Understand the inventory columns

Go to Inventory list and locate the following columns:

  • On the way (left)

  • In delivery (left)

  • In production (left)

These values show how many pieces of each product are currently ordered, in production, or part of upcoming deliveries.

Why quantities may not appear in “In production”

If you have created a production order and entered quantities, but nothing appears in In production, the reason is:

The production order has not been put into production yet.

An Open production order is considered a draft and does not count toward production quantities.

Activate the production order

  1. Open the production order.

  2. Click Put into production.

  3. Return to Inventory list and click Refresh.

You should now see the total units under In production.

See production details from the inventory list

You can click any number inside the In production column.

A popup will show:

  • Total number of pieces in production

  • A list of all production orders containing that product

  • Quantities from each production order

This gives you a detailed overview across all production activities.

Understand the “Left” column

The Left column shows whether all incoming production and stock will cover your current demand.

It is calculated as:

In order – In stock – In production

Meaning:

  • A positive number = you have enough pieces arriving

  • A negative number = you are missing pieces to cover all open orders

Example:
If -62 appears, it means your incoming supply does not cover your order demand.

Move pieces from “In production” to “In delivery”

To move quantities into In delivery:

  1. Open your production order.

  2. Create a delivery.

  3. Enter the delivery quantities and set a delivery date.

  4. Save the delivery.

Return to Inventory list and refresh.
The relevant quantities will now appear under In delivery.

Why “Left” may not match your expectation

Sizes may be unevenly ordered (e.g., customers ordered more of some sizes than others).
This can result in some sizes being fully covered while others are still short—causing the “Left” value to show a remaining mismatch.

Move pieces from “In delivery” to “On the way”

Once a delivery has been created, you can mark it as on the way:

  1. Open the delivery.

  2. Click Magazine (mark as sent).

Return to the Inventory list and refresh again.
Quantities will now appear under On the way instead of In delivery.

You can click the On the way number to see:

  • Which delivery it belongs to

  • Expected arrival dates
