Creating a production order

  • Updated

Introduction

This article explains how to create a new production order in TRAEDE. You will learn how to start a production order, attach products, enter quantities, use bulk upload via Excel, and understand the key data fields available when managing production.

Start a production order

  1. Go to Production → Production orders.

  2. In the top-right corner, click Start new production order.

  3. Select your supplier.

  4. Click Start new production order again.

You will now be taken to a blank production order.

Add products to the production order

  1. At the top of the page, click the Products tab.

  2. You will see all products attached to the selected supplier.

    • If you do not see a product, open the product and attach the supplier in the product settings.

  3. Use filters if needed to find specific products.

  4. Click the products you want to add.

  5. Click Save products.

Your selected products now appear in the order.

Enter quantities

  1. Scroll to the product list within the production order.

  2. In the quantity fields, enter how many units of each variant you want to produce (e.g., 10/10/10/10).

  3. Under the quantity field, you can see how many pieces you already have in stock.

    • This reflects the physical availability of the product.

  4. When quantities are added, you will see the total change (e.g., “+10”).

  5. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page to update the totals.

Add more products

You can continue adding more products by returning to the Products tab, selecting additional items, and saving them. Add quantities as needed.

Set quantities using Excel

TRAEDE allows you to update quantities in bulk:

  1. Click Set quantity by Excel in the top-right corner.

  2. Upload an Excel file containing SKU and Quantity.

  3. TRAEDE updates the production order automatically based on the file.

This is useful when handling large production lists.

Production order information

On the right side of the page, you will find key data fields for the production order:

  • Expected delivery date

    • Indicates when you expect the supplier to deliver the production order.

  • Deadline for changes

    • Indicates when changes to the order must be finalized before production begins.

All other fields visible here are custom fields you can configure in your settings.
For help creating custom fields, see the guide How to add custom fields.

Drops and deliveries

At the bottom of the page, you will see Drops and Deliveries.
These are covered in a separate guide.
