Changing cost prices

  • Updated

Introduction

This guide explains how to add and manage cost prices for your products in TRAEDE. You will learn how to create cost price sets, assign them to different suppliers, and update cost prices for single or multiple variants at once.

Cost price sets are especially useful when you work with multiple suppliers or currencies.

Go to the cost prices section

  1. Open the product you want to update.

  2. Go to the Production tab.

  3. Click the Cost prices sub-tab.

Create a cost price set

A cost price set is a group of cost prices used by one or more suppliers.

  1. Click Create cost price set.

  2. Name the set (e.g., Default – EUR).

  3. This will be the standard cost price set used by most suppliers.

💡 For now, ignore fields such as customs, shipping, sole cost, and end cost — these are covered in another guide.

Add or update cost prices for variants

Update a single variant

  1. Click Set prices on the specific variant.

  2. Enter a new cost price (e.g., 100 EUR).

  3. Click Update.

Update all variants at once

  1. Tick the checkbox at the top of the variant list.

  2. Click Set price.

  3. Enter a cost price (e.g., 100 EUR).

  4. Click Update.

Update selected variants only

  1. Select individual variants (e.g., only Yellow).

  2. Click Set price.

  3. Enter a different amount (e.g., 110 EUR).

Create cost price sets in different currencies

If you work with suppliers in different currencies, create a separate cost price set:

  1. Click Create cost price set again.

  2. Name it (e.g., US Dollars).

  3. Set variant prices (e.g., 90 USD).

Assign cost price sets to suppliers

  1. Go to the Supplier list on the product.

  2. Choose the supplier that uses a different cost price set.

  3. Select the correct set (e.g., US Dollars).

  4. Click Save.

This now means:

  • Two EUR suppliers → use Default – EUR

  • One USD supplier → uses US Dollars

  • TRAEDE automatically selects the correct cost price set when creating a purchase order.

Create alternative cost price sets in the same currency

You can also use cost price sets for alternative suppliers:

Example:

  • Main supplier uses Default – EUR

  • Backup supplier uses B Prices – EUR (e.g., 120 EUR)

Steps:

  1. Create a new set (e.g., B Prices – EUR).

  2. Set higher prices for the variants.

  3. Assign the set to the backup supplier.
