Introduction

This guide explains how to create a new product in TRAEDE. It assumes that you are already familiar with product data such as name, item number, categories, prices, and attributes. If not, we recommend starting with the other product course videos before using this guide.

How to create a product in TRAEDE

Add product name and item number

1. Navigate to the Products section from the TRAEDE dashboard.

2. Click Add product.

3. Enter a product name.

   • Example: Cool Product

4. Add a unique item number.

   • Example: COOLPRODUCT001

   • Note: Item numbers must be unique within your brand.

Assign categories and collections

1. Select the top category for the product (e.g., Shoes).

2. Add additional subcategories if relevant (e.g., Heels).

3. Attach the product to a collection (e.g., Basic Collection). - You can only add one collection pr. product. 

Set sales prices

1. Scroll to the Sales prices section.

2. Enter a wholesale price and a recommended retail price in DKK.

   • Example: 1000 DKK wholesale, 3000 DKK retail

3. Click Add price to add other currencies (e.g., EUR).

   • Example: 150 EUR wholesale, 450 EUR retail

4. You can remove any added currency by clicking the Remove button.

Add product variants

1. Go to the Variants section.

2. Add attributes (e.g., Color and Size).

3. Under Color, you can:

   • Choose from existing options.

   • Add a new color by typing it (e.g., Twisted Red) and pressing Enter.

4. Under Size, add options like XS, S, M, L.

TRAEDE will automatically create all combinations, generating 8 variants in this example (4 sizes × 2 colors).

5. For custom color names, you can manually select the appropriate color code if the system doesn’t match it accurately.

Add custom fields and inventory settings

1. Scroll down to the Custom fields section.

2. Add relevant product data, such as Country of origin (e.g., Portugal).

3. If the product should skip inventory (e.g., for digital items like gift cards), check the corresponding box.

4. Optionally, add the product weight (e.g., 1000 grams).

Upload product images

1. Drag and drop images into the image upload section.

2. Wait for the files to upload and turn green.

Add product description

1. Write a short and descriptive text.

   • Example: A very cool shoe

Final step: Save the product

Click Save to create the product. You will now be directed to the product page.
