Splitting and merging orders

Splitting an order allows you to move specific products from one order to a new separate order.

Steps to Split an Order:

  1. Navigate to the Order:

    • Locate the order containing multiple products.

    • Identify the products that need to be split into a separate order.

  2. Access the Split Order Function:

    • Scroll to the top of the screen.

    • In the top-right corner, find Action.

    • Click More Actions and then select Split Order.

  3. Select Products to Move:

    • A pop-up will appear displaying all products within the order.

    • Select the products to move to a new order by clicking on them.

    • In this example, all Berlin products will be moved to a new order, while Oslo products will remain on the original order.

  4. Confirm the Split:

    • Click the Split button.

    • Traede will now create a new order containing the selected products.

  5. Verify the Orders:

    • The newly created order will now contain only the selected products.

    • Navigate back to the original order to confirm that only the remaining products are listed.


How to Merge Orders

Merging orders consolidates multiple orders into a single order under the same customer.

Steps to Merge Orders:

  1. Go to the Order List:

    • Locate the orders you want to merge.

    • In this example, we are merging orders 1187 and 1189.

  2. Select Orders to Merge:

    • Click the checkbox next to the orders you want to merge.

    • Under the Action menu, select Merge Orders.

  3. Choose the Primary Order:

    • A list will appear showing all open orders for the customer.

    • The system will automatically mark the orders that can be merged.

    • In the "Keep" row, select the order that will receive all merged products.

    • In the second row, select the orders that should be merged into the primary order.

  4. Confirm the Merge:

    • Click Merge.

    • The merged orders will be consolidated into the primary order.

  5. Verify the Merged Order:

    • The order that was merged into the primary order will disappear.

    • Navigate to the retained order to ensure all products have been correctly transferred.

    • The Order Timeline keeps track of all changes for reference.

  • Always ensure that the correct products are selected before splitting or merging an order.

  • Use the Order Timeline to review changes made to any order.

  • Labels and descriptions can help organize orders effectively within Traede.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage orders in Traede by splitting or merging them as needed.
