Connecting TRAEDE to ChatGPT lets you ask ChatGPT questions about your TRAEDE data  — all in plain language. You add TRAEDE once as a custom MCP server in ChatGPT, then log in to the specific TRAEDE brand account you want ChatGPT to work with.

Before you start

• A ChatGPT account where you can add plugins and custom MCP servers.
• Login credentials for the TRAEDE brand account you want to connect.

Note: ChatGPT connects to one TRAEDE brand account at a time. If you manage multiple brands, you will be asked to pick which one to connect during login.

Add TRAEDE as a custom MCP server

You only need to do this once per ChatGPT account.

1. In ChatGPT, click Plugins in the left sidebar.
2. Click Add in the top right corner, and select Add custom MCP server.

3. Fill in the form:

   Field	What to enter
   Name	TRAEDE
   Description (optional)	TRAEDE MCP
   Connection	Keep Server URL selected and paste https://api.traede.com/ai/mcp
   Authentication	OAuth

4. Leave Advanced OAuth settings as they are. ChatGPT detects the settings automatically.
5. Tick I understand and want to continue.
6. Click Create as plugin.

Important: The Connection field must contain the server URL, not your email address. You enter your TRAEDE email and password later, when you log in.

Connect your TRAEDE account

1. After you create the plugin, ChatGPT shows a Connect to TRAEDE dialog. Click Connect to TRAEDE.
2. You are forwarded to TRAEDE. Log in with the email and password for the brand account you want ChatGPT to work with.
3. If you have access to multiple TRAEDE accounts, select the specific brand account to connect.
4. Approve the connection. You are returned to ChatGPT, and TRAEDE now appears under Installed on the Plugins page.

Try it out

Start a new chat in ChatGPT and include the word TRAEDE in your prompt so ChatGPT knows to use the plugin. Below are three prompts that work well, ranging from simple to elaborate.

1. Simple data lookup

What was my revenue in 2025 in TRAEDE?

Good for a quick sanity check that the connection is working.

Tips and things to know

• Say "TRAEDE" explicitly. You may have several plugins in ChatGPT. Mentioning TRAEDE in the prompt makes sure ChatGPT looks in the right place.
• Large reports take time. Generating a multi-slide deck with images pulled from TRAEDE can take several minutes.
• Review AI-generated output before sharing. Always double-check numbers, product information, and images before sending a report to customers, investors, or the board.
• Your TRAEDE data is shared with ChatGPT. When you run a prompt, the relevant TRAEDE data is sent to ChatGPT so it can answer the question. Only connect accounts and run prompts where this is acceptable.
• Disconnecting. You can disconnect TRAEDE at any time from the Plugins page in ChatGPT.
