Sales goals

  • Updated

Sales goals dashboards let you set revenue targets and track actual sales against them. Each dashboard measures one thing at a time — the whole business, individual agents, countries, customers, or sub-brands — over a time period you choose.

You can create as many dashboards as you need. A common setup is one dashboard per breakdown you care about (for example one for agents, one for key customers, and one for a drop).

Where to find it

Go to Reports → Sales Goals.

If no dashboards exist yet, you land on a welcome screen with a Create first dashboard button. Once you have one or more dashboards, opening Sales Goals takes you straight to your default dashboard. Switch between dashboards using the dropdown in the top bar.

Creating a dashboard

  1. Go to Reports → Sales Goals.
  2. Click Create first dashboard (empty state) or the + icon in the top bar (Add new dashboard).
  3. Fill in the sections described below.
  4. Click Save.

Dashboard

Give the dashboard a Title (for example SS17 or B2B agents Q4). Set Active to Yes to show the dashboard in the dropdown. Inactive dashboards still exist but are grouped under a separator so you can archive old dashboards without deleting them.

Sales goals for — pick one breakdown

The Sales goals type dropdown determines what each row of the dashboard represents. Pick one:

BreakdownWhat each row represents
TotalOne overall goal for the whole business.
Agents & AgenciesOne goal per agent and/or per agency.
CountriesOne goal per country.
CustomersOne goal per individual customer.
SubbrandsOne goal per sub-brand.

Important: You can only pick one breakdown per dashboard. A single goal cannot be, for example, "this agent in this country" — that is two breakdowns combined. You can still narrow the dashboard to B2B only, a specific drop, and so on using the filters below.

For every breakdown except Subbrands, you can also tick Include handling fees and Include shipping to fold those amounts into the reached totals. Both are off by default.

Data source

The Data source option decides what counts as a sale:

  • Orders — approved orders in the selected period.
  • Invoiced revenue — booked invoices minus credit notes in the selected period.

Cancelled orders and internal move orders are never counted. On the dashboard view the config pill for this setting is labelled Invoices when you picked Invoiced revenue.

Time period

Pick a Date mode of Relative or Date range. A relative period recalculates every time you open the dashboard, which is the usual choice for standing dashboards ("this quarter", "last 30 days"). A date range locks the dashboard to a fixed window, which suits a specific season or campaign.

Available relative periods:

  • Today, Yesterday
  • This week, This month, This quarter, This year
  • Previous week, Previous month, Previous quarter, Previous year
  • Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 180 days, Last 365 days

For Orders, the period filters on order approval date. For Invoiced revenue, it filters on invoice date (and credit note date for credit notes).

Comparison (optional)

Add a comparison period to see how you are pacing against another window. The comparison uses the same Relative or Date range controls. Relative options for comparison are Same period last month, Same period last quarter, and Same period last year.

Choose how the comparison is displayed with the Percentage or Index number option. Use Clear dates to turn the comparison off.

Filters

Filters narrow which orders or invoices count towards the goals. They layer on top of the breakdown you picked.

  • Order type — tick any combination of B2B, B2C, POS, and Consignment. All four are selected by default. This is where a "B2B only" per-agent dashboard is defined.
  • Drop — limit the dashboard to one or more drops.
  • Comparison drops — drops used for the comparison period. Common pattern: current dashboard on SS24, comparison drops set to SS23.

Setting the goal amounts

The last section is where you type the actual target amounts. Its layout depends on the breakdown you picked.

Total shows a single Goal field in your brand's base currency. Type the overall revenue target and move on.

The other breakdowns show a list of rows. Click Add to add an agent, agency, country, customer, or sub-brand row, then enter the goal in the trackee's own currency. Use Quick add for bulk adds: All, or grouped shortcuts by region (Domestic, EU, Europe (non-EU), Abroad) and by country on customer-based dashboards.

Tip: If a row shows a Missing currency warning, that customer, country, or agent has no currency configured yet. Set the currency on the customers master data and the row will accept a goal amount.

Amounts stay in the customers own currency in this section, with a running Total per currency at the bottom. The dashboard view rolls everything up to your base currency as well — see the Currencies section below.

Groups (optional, non-Total breakdowns)

Groups control how rows are grouped and subtotalled on the dashboard view. Groups are display only — they do not change what a goal measures.

Auto-create groups from regionCustomers, Countries

With Create groups manually, click Add group, name it (default Unnamed group), and add rows into it.

Reading a dashboard

Open a dashboard from the dropdown in the top bar. The layout is the same regardless of which breakdown you picked.

Configuration pills

The top of the page shows the dashboard's active configuration at a glance: Tracking, Data Source, Drops (if any), Date Range, and Comparison (if any). Hover over a pill for the full value.

Overview charts

Three pie charts summarise where the revenue is coming from, regardless of the breakdown you chose:

  • Top 10 Sales by Agent
  • Top 10 Sales by Country
  • Top 5 Sales by Customer

Everything outside the top slice is grouped into an Other bucket. Amounts are shown in your base currency.

Metrics bar

Four totals sit above the table, all in your base currency (except the count):

  • Goal — the sum of all goal amounts.
  • Reached — how much has been sold or invoiced so far. If a comparison period is enabled the trend versus that period is shown as a percentage.
  • Orders or Invoices — the underlying document count, matching the Data source setting.
  • In discounts — the total of all discounts applied to the counted orders.

The goals table

One row per trackee (or one Total row on a Total dashboard). Groups appear as collapsible headers with subtotals — use Open all groups and Close all groups in the top bar to expand or collapse them all at once. Base-currency columns are labelled with your currency code (for example Goal DKK, Reached DKK).

ColumnWhat it shows
NameThe trackee (customer / country / agent / sub-brand) or group.
GoalGoal amount in the trackee's currency.
ReachedReached amount in the trackee's currency.
Goal {base}Goal converted to base currency. Shows No goal set if the row has no goal.
Reached {base}Reached converted to base currency.
Diff {base}Reached minus Goal, in base currency.
Discount {base}Discounts applied to the counted orders, in base currency.
IndexReached versus Goal as an index number.
OrdersUnderlying document count for the row.
Goal %Reached as a percentage of Goal. Colour coded.
Progress barVisual progress towards the row's goal.
Comp. {base}Reached in the comparison period, in base currency.
Comp. % or Comp. IDXComparison as a percentage or index number, based on the comparison type you picked.

On narrower screens the Index column and the progress bar are hidden to keep the table readable. Comparison columns only appear when a comparison period is configured.

Currencies

Goals are always a money amount — there is no quantity or units target anywhere in Sales Goals. Every row is entered in the trackee's own currency:

  • Customers — the customer's currency (falls back to the country settings currency).
  • Countries — the country settings currency.
  • Agents & Agencies — the agent's user currency or the agency's currency on your brand.
  • Subbrands and Total — your brand's base currency.

When the dashboard is loaded, each order or invoice is converted to your base currency using the exchange rates saved on that document, then rolled up. The base-currency columns are the only ones that can be summed across trackees with different currencies.

Managing dashboards

The top bar on any dashboard has icon buttons for Edit dashboard, Duplicate dashboard, and Add new dashboard. Delete is inside the dashboard itself: open the dashboard for editing and scroll to the Danger section at the bottom.

  • Edit dashboard — opens the create/edit form with the current settings.
  • Duplicate dashboard — opens a small modal where you name the copy (default Copy of {title}) and click Duplicate. Use this to fork last season's dashboard for a new season.
  • Add new dashboard — starts a fresh empty dashboard.
  • Active toggle — hides a dashboard from the main dropdown without deleting it. Inactive dashboards appear below an Inactive separator in the picker.

Important: Delete dashboard in the Danger section deletes the dashboard immediately with no confirmation dialog. Duplicate first if you want a safety copy.

Importing and exporting goals

When editing a dashboard you can use Import in the top bar to upload goal amounts from an Excel or CSV file. Rows are matched by country name, customer number, or agent email depending on the breakdown.

On the dashboard view, click Export to Excel to download the current dashboard as a spreadsheet. If you plan to import goals, export one of your existing dashboards first to see the exact column format the importer expects.
