Bulk editing orders

  • Updated

You can update several orders at once instead of editing them one by one — from reassigning agents to moving inventory location. This article covers the bulk update window and the standalone bulk actions that sit alongside it.

Opening the bulk update window

  1. Go to Sales → Orders.
  2. Tick the orders you want to change.
  3. Click Actions → Bulk Update Data.
  4. In the Update Order Data window, tick the fields you want to change on the left. Only ticked fields are touched — everything else on the selected orders is left alone.
  5. Fill in the new value for each ticked field. The right side of the window lists the order numbers that will be updated.
  6. Click Update.

Tip: The same window is also reachable from order widgets, if you are using those, on your dashboards - with the same 9 fields.

Fields you can bulk-edit

FieldWhat it does
AgenciesRemove the selected agencies, set them as the only agencies, or add them to the order. When adding or setting, you can mark one as the primary agency.
AgentsSame three options as Agencies — remove, set as the only agents, or add — with an optional primary agent.
Custom fieldsOnly shown if your brand has order custom fields set up. Type a new value, or tick CLEAR to empty it.
IncotermsPick from the standard incoterms list.
LockedSet the selected orders to locked or unlocked.
Shipping costType an amount to apply to all selected orders.
StatusSet the order label for all selected orders.
Inventory locationMove the selected orders' inventory to a chosen location.
DropAssign the selected orders to a drop.

Other bulk actions

The same Actions menu also has standalone bulk actions — these run immediately on the selected orders rather than opening the Update Order Data window:

  • Archive orders
  • Unarchive orders
  • Delete draft orders — only works if every selected order is a draft.
  • Export to Excel
  • Download Documents
  • Update reservations
  • Merge orders

Depending on your account's apps and permissions, you may also see Update order prices, Send confirmation, Ship Items, or Start production order. For example, Update order prices requires a pricing permission, Ship Items, and Start production order only appear when specific apps are installed.

Good to know

Bulk edits affecting more than 10 orders — or any change to Status, Inventory location, Drop, or archiving — run in the background and may take a moment to apply rather than updating instantly.
