A launch event is a scheduled discount campaign. You pick a start date, add discounts for the products you want on sale, and Traede automatically applies offer prices when the event starts — and removes them again when it ends.

Creating a launch event

  1. Go to Products → Launch events in the left menu.
  2. Click Create Launch Event.
  3. Enter a Title.
  4. Set the Start date. This is when the discounts are applied automatically.
  5. Optionally set an End date. You can also add or change it later.
  6. Click Save. The launch event page opens.

Note: Start and end dates use your configured timezone. The modal shows which timezone that is, and you can change it in your personal settings.

Event settings

The Launch Event Info section at the top of the event page holds the event-level settings:

  • Title — the name shown in the launch events list.
  • Start date — when the event starts and discounts are applied.
  • Set end date — enable this and pick an End date to have the event stop automatically. Without an end date, the event runs until you stop it manually.
  • Currencies — limits which currencies you enter discounts for. Leave it empty to work with all of your brand's currencies.

Adding discounts

Use the buttons above the discount table to add what should go on sale. You can target individual products or whole groups of products:

  • Add product — a single product.
  • Add product groupAdd dropAdd collectionAdd categoryAdd subbrand — every product in the selected group.
  • Add custom field — every product (or variant) where a custom field matches the values you choose. Product custom fields target whole products, variant custom fields target only the matching variants.

Each row in the table has columns per currency, split into B2B and B2C. Use the B2B & B2C toggle in the toolbar to show only one of them. For each combination you can fill in:

ColumnMeaning
Current priceThe product's current price in that currency, for reference. If the product already has an offer price, the normal price is shown below it.
Discount %The percentage off. Entering a percentage automatically calculates the launch price for you.
Launch priceThe exact sale price. Entering a price automatically calculates the matching discount percentage.

Group rows (product groups, drops, collections, categories, subbrands, and custom fields) only take a Discount %, since the products in the group have different prices.

Leave a currency or channel empty to keep its prices unchanged. For example, you can discount B2C prices in DKK and EUR while leaving B2B and USD untouched.

Product modes

When you add an individual product, choose how detailed the discount should be with the Product mode selector on the product row:

  • Full product — one discount for all variants.
  • Per color — a separate discount per color (available when the product has colors).
  • Per variant — a separate discount per SKU.

Saving your changes

Changes are not applied until you save. A bar appears at the bottom of the page showing how many unsaved changes you have — click Save now to apply them or Discard changes to throw them away. Very large changes are applied in the background, and you are notified when they are done.

Starting the event

The event starts automatically at the start date — you do not need to do anything. To start it right away instead, click Run event immediately at the top of the event page and confirm.

Important: Once an event has started, most of its setup can no longer be edited. Double-check your discounts before the start date. See [LINK: How launch events start, run, and end] for what happens next.
