Once Hive is installed and your warehouses are mapped, use these optional and advanced configurations to support bundle products, seed your catalog, automate tracking, and understand the integration's current limits.
Prerequisite: Hive must be installed with at least one warehouse mapped to a TRAEDE inventory location. See Setting up Hive in the Related articles below.
Bundles
When Push bundle SKUs to Hive is enabled, TRAEDE pushes your bundle products to Hive as flat SKUs. Hive doesn't automatically know that a bundle SKU is made up of components — you need to tell it.
After the first product sync, in the Hive portal:
- Find the bundle SKU that TRAEDE just pushed.
- Use Hive's Convert to Bundle action to associate the flat SKU with its component SKUs.
- Repeat for every bundle.
Hive then knows to physically pick the components when it receives an order for the bundle SKU. When the delivery note comes back to TRAEDE, the integration translates the component quantities back into bundle units for you automatically.
Important: If you release a shipment containing a bundle before configuring the bundle in Hive's portal, the shipment push fails with a clear error listing the offending SKU. Fix the config in Hive and retry.
Push products to Hive
Products are pushed to Hive automatically the first time they appear on a shipment. You don't need to manually push products up-front — the integration handles it on demand.
If you want to seed Hive with your full catalog before the first shipment (recommended when you're first going live, or after a big product import):
- On the Hive app page, click the Actions tab.
- Click Push all products to Hive.
The push runs in the background. You can follow its progress under App Store → Document Exchange.
Note: Only stocked variants in mapped Hive warehouses are pushed. Variants with zero stock are skipped so Hive isn't cluttered with products you can't fulfill.
Set up webhooks for tracking
When Hive ships a parcel, it can notify TRAEDE via webhook so tracking numbers flow back automatically. Hive doesn't offer a self-serve webhook configuration UI — the URL has to be registered by Hive's team.
- On the Hive app page, click the Webhooks tab.
- Copy the webhook URL shown. It looks like
https://api.traede.com/webhooks/hive/{your-entity-id}. - Email your Hive account manager and ask them to register the URL for these events:
shipment_status_updateddelivery_status_updated
- Once Hive confirms webhooks are active, go back to Settings and disable Poll Hive for shipped shipments (delivery notes) to avoid duplicate imports.
Tip: If webhooks haven't been registered yet, tracking still flows in via polling — but not in real time. Registering webhooks is what gets your customers same-day tracking updates in Shopify.
What's not currently supported
- Returns. Returns are not synced with Hive. Handle them in Hive's portal and register credit notes manually in TRAEDE.
- Production orders. Only sales-order shipments are pushed to Hive. Production orders and production order delivery notes are not synced.
Uninstall
- On the Hive app page, click the Settings tab.
- Scroll to Danger Zone.
- Click Uninstall Hive.
Important: Uninstalling removes the Hive app from TRAEDE. It does not delete any data on Hive's side, and any historic delivery notes already imported into TRAEDE stay in place.
