Nordea Factoring is an integration that automatically emails booked B2B invoices and credit notes to Nordea Factoring so they can collect payment from the end customer. It only handles B2B documents and Nordea always settles in NOK.
Before you start
The brand needs the following from Nordea before installing — TRAEDE cannot send anything without them:
- A signed Nordea Factoring agreement.
- A factoring email address (where Nordea wants the daily file batches sent).
- One client number per currency (and optionally per country or internal company) that the brand invoices in. A client number maps a TRAEDE invoice to the right Nordea ledger.
Nordea always settles in NOK. Any invoice or credit note issued in another currency must carry a NOK exchange rate — TRAEDE uses it to convert the total to NOK øre before sending. Make sure the brand's currency and exchange-rate setup includes NOK so non-NOK documents get a NOK rate; otherwise they can't be sent.
Install the app
- Go to App Store in the left menu.
- Find Nordea Factoring in the list and click it.
- On the Install tab, click Install.
Installing also auto-creates Nordea-specific footers on the brand's invoice and credit note documents — see Document footers below.
App settings
After install, the Settings tab opens automatically. Configure the brand here.
Invoicing fieldset
| Field | What it does | Required |
|---|---|---|
| All customers are by default factoring | When on, every customer is treated as factoring unless explicitly overridden on the customer profile. When off, only customers with the per-customer toggle enabled are factored. | No |
| Send invoices to Nordea Factoring | Master switch. Must be on for any invoices or credit notes to be sent. Turn off to pause sending without uninstalling. | Yes for sending |
| Use VAT number as organization number for Norwegian customers | Fallback for Norwegian customers — uses the customer's VAT number as the organization number sent to Nordea when no other org number is available. | No |
| Organization number | A customer custom field that holds the customer's organization number. Used in the Nordea customer record. The dropdown lists customer custom fields configured on the brand. | No |
| Send invoices since | The earliest invoice/credit note date TRAEDE will pick up. Acts as a hard cutoff — anything booked before this date is ignored, even if it has never been sent. | Yes for sending |
| Factoring email | The email TRAEDE sends the daily Nordea batch to. Provided by Nordea. | Yes for sending |
Client numbers
The Client numbers section is a list of rules. Each rule has optional matchers — Internal company, Country, and Currency — and one value: the Client number that applies when the rule matches.
When TRAEDE sends an invoice or credit note it picks the rule whose matchers fit the document's currency, the customer's country, and the internal company. If no rule matches, the document is skipped and a Nordea Factoring invoice not synced alert is raised. Add at least one rule for every currency the brand invoices in.
Click Save to apply changes.
Mark customers as factoring
Whether a specific customer's invoices are sent to Nordea is decided in two places:
- Global default — the All customers are by default factoring checkbox in app settings.
- Per-customer override — on the customer profile, go to Master Data → Billing. The Bill the customer using Nordea Factoring field can be left at the default, set to On, or set to Off, and supports per-country overrides.
The per-customer setting always wins over the global default. Country overrides on the customer win over the customer's main setting.
Document footers
Installing the app creates a set of Nordea-specific document footers for both invoices and credit notes, named like NordeaFactoring: ... and NordeaFactoring (credit note): .... They include:
- The payment term and expiration date.
- The customer's KID reference (when present).
- Nordea's bank account number for the invoice currency.
- Localized text — Norwegian for Norwegian customers, English otherwise.
TRAEDE also adds matching footer rules to the brand's invoice and credit note document settings. The rules trigger automatically whenever a document is generated for a factoring customer in a matching currency, so the right Nordea footer is always shown.
Important: The brand should not edit the Nordea footers manually — uninstalling and reinstalling the app regenerates them.
Uninstall
- Go to App Store → Nordea Factoring → Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Uninstall Nordea Factoring.
- Confirm in the dialog.
Uninstalling deletes all of the auto-installed Nordea footers and removes their rules from the brand's invoice and credit note document settings. Customer-level Bill the customer using Nordea Factoring values are kept in case the brand reinstalls later.
