01 Installing Emma Systems integration

  • Updated

Emma Systems is a customs integration for brands operating out of a bonded warehouse. Once installed, TRAEDE pushes shipment delivery notes and production order delivery notes to Emma as customs declaration XML files over SFTP. Install and configure the app before enabling Send documents to go live.

Where to find

Go to App Store → Emma Systems.

Installation

Your customs partner sends you SFTP credentials for Emma.

  1. Open the Install tab.
  2. Fill in the four SFTP fields.
  3. Click Install.
Field Description
SFTP server (host only) Host name only, without any sftp:// prefix and without a folder path. The default sftp2.emmacloud.no works for most brands.
SFTP port The port Emma listens on. Default 22.
SFTP username From your customs partner.
SFTP password From your customs partner.

Important: If you have not received credentials, ask your customs partner. TRAEDE cannot generate them.

Settings

After installing, the Settings tab opens. Fill in every section, then click Save settings at the bottom. Nothing is pushed to Emma until you enable Send documents in the last section.

Identification

  • Integration code: sender code agreed with Emma. Goes into the Integration element of every XML file. Default SystemTR — change only if Emma has assigned a different code.
  • Warehouse code: code of your bonded / customs warehouse as assigned by Emma. Max 8 characters. Default SYSTR — change only if Emma has assigned a different one.

Products

Emma requires an HS tariff code and a country of origin on every product line. TRAEDE reads both values from product custom fields you choose here. If a product is missing either value, the push errors out.

  • HS Tariff code custom field: product custom field storing the HS / commodity code (up to 10 digits, e.g. 6205200000).
  • Country of origin custom field: product custom field storing the 2-letter ISO country code (e.g. CN, DK, DE).

Tip: If you don't yet have these two custom fields on your products, create them first — see Creating Custom fields in the Related articles below.

Inventory

  • Inventory location(s): only shipments and production order delivery notes allocated to these locations sync to Emma. Anything on other locations is silently skipped. Pick at least one.

Status

  • Send documents (activate integration): master switch for the integration. Nothing is pushed to Emma until this is ticked. Leave it unchecked while you're still setting things up, and enable it when you're ready to go live.
