Inventory report and reservation V4

  • Updated

The Inventory report and reservation V4 module in TRAEDE provides an advanced overview of your inventory, including detailed allocation and reservation logic. This module is essential for demand planning, sales forecasting, and ensuring stock availability across multiple sales orders.

This guide explains how the inventory report works, how ATP (Available to Promise) is calculated, and how order line reservation logic works. It’s especially useful for planners and operations teams managing complex inventory flows and delivery timing.

Inventory report overview

The inventory report allows you to view detailed stock information per SKU and color/size variant. It gives you insights into how much stock is:

  • In stock

  • In order (incoming POs)

  • Allocated (reserved for orders)

  • Available (ATP)

  • In production or on the way

  • Assigned to a specific PO or delivery

You can filter the inventory report by stock status, warehouse (e.g., "SGL"), and item number.

Understanding ATP and reservation logic

ATP (Available to Promise) is calculated based on the following:

  • In stock + Incoming POs - Allocated quantity

  • The system also considers actual delivery dates, PO quantities, and custom prioritization logic.

Each order line shows:

  • Fulfillment lock

  • Allocation status

  • Drop delivery dates and override options

  • Linked PO and stock details

Incoming purchase orders

Below the product table, you’ll find a list of incoming POs, including:

  • Supplier name

  • Purchase order number

  • Expected delivery date (ETA)

  • Quantities allocated vs. available

This section is used to calculate the Available to Promise (ATP) quantities that can be used for upcoming sales orders.

Sales order reservation logic

Sales order lines are displayed with detailed reservation data. Each line shows:

  • Customer and order number

  • Requested or overridden delivery date

  • Line quantity

  • Allocation status

  • Assigned stock from POs (with direct PO reference)

  • Fulfillment lock link for traceability

The system uses a prioritization logic that takes into account:

  • Requested delivery date

  • Stock availability

  • Fulfillment lock

  • Allocation rules (manual vs. automatic)

  • PO ETA

This ensures the most urgent orders are allocated stock first while respecting delivery time frames.

Key tips

  • Use the “Reset custom prioritization” button if you want to reapply default logic.

  • You can override delivery dates manually if needed.

  • PO links (e.g., #PO-1401-1) provide quick access to trace allocation.

  • Fulfillment locks indicate what stock is tied to a specific order, and prevent reallocation.
