Introduction
This guide explains how to handle B2C returns in TRAEDE created from the return portal - from receiving the returned product to issuing the credit note. This is relevant for users who manage returns internally and process refunds manually in the platform.
Step 1: Locate the return
Go to Sales returns in the TRAEDE menu.
Filter by B2C and Status: Approved to find the relevant RMA
3. Click into the RMA to see the return details:
Which product(s) the customer is returning
Return reason (e.g., "Did not like the product")
Whether it is a Return or Exchange
Step 2: Receive the return
If you manage your own warehouse (not using an external 3PL), click Receive return.
Enter the quantity of returned items under Received.
You will see the expected return quantity listed underneath.
Click Receive.
The RMA status will now change to Received, but the return has not been credited yet.
Step 3: Create the credit note
Scroll to the Summary section of the RMA.
Click the Open credit note to review the refund details.
Check that the credit amount is correct.
In this example, the total is -189.When ready, click Book credit note.
Step 4: Confirm refund in Shopify
Once the credit note is booked, the refund will automatically be sent to Shopify.
Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
Verify that the refund has been processed correctly.
