Introduction

This guide explains how to customize the layout and content of your documents in TRAEDE. You will learn where to change document settings, how to preview your adjustments, and how to add or remove information such as headers, product details, and custom fields.

Open the document settings

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. In the left menu, click Documents.

  3. You will now see an overview of all document types you can customize (e.g., Order, Invoice, Credit note, Delivery note, etc.).

  4. Select the document you want to update—for example, Order.

Live document preview

When you open a document type:

  • You will see configuration options at the top.

  • A live document preview appears further down the page.

  • Every time you change a setting, the preview updates so you can instantly see how your document will look.

Document header settings

At the top of the page, you can choose which information appears in the document header.

Example:
If you enable Sender in header, you will immediately see it added in the preview.
If you turn it off, it disappears again.

This allows you to fine-tune the document design without guessing.

Sort products on the document

You can choose how products should be sorted on the document:

  • Product name

  • Item number

  • SKU

  • Collection

  • Sub-print

Select the sorting option that fits your workflow. The preview will update accordingly.

Product table settings

Further down you will find several groups of settings:

  • Subtotal data

  • Product table

  • Product data

  • Product table columns

  • Product table rows

  • Totals

Each group controls different information displayed on the final document.

Example: Add product data

If you want to show Country of origin on the document:

  1. Go to Product data.

  2. Click the field to add Country of origin.

  3. You will now see it appear in the document preview.

To remove a field, simply click the X next to it.

Add custom fields

If you have created custom fields (e.g., internal codes, warehouse notes, extra product metadata), they will appear in the list of available document fields.

  • Select the custom field you want to display.

  • It will automatically show up in the document preview.

  • Remove it by clicking the X.

Save your changes

Once the document looks the way you want:

  1. Scroll to the top or bottom of the page.

  2. Click Save.

Your document configuration is now active and applied immediately.

Footers

You can manage and assign footers at the bottom of the document settings page.
For full instructions, see the guide: How to create or update a document footer.
