Introduction

This guide explains how to copy an existing product in TRAEDE. Duplicating a product is useful when you need to create a similar item with the same structure, prices, and attributes — saving time on manual data entry.

How to duplicate a product in TRAEDE

Step 1: Open the product you want to duplicate

1. Go to Products in the top menu.

2. Find and click on the product you want to copy (e.g., Dress01).

Step 2: Duplicate the product

1. Click the Actions button in the top-right corner of the product page.

2. Select Duplicate from the dropdown.
   

3. In the duplication window, update the necessary fields:

   • Name: Enter a new product name (e.g., Dress02)

   • Item number: Provide a unique item number

   • Choose whether to:

     • Copy drops

     • Copy supplier

     • Copy customer prices
       

   • Set product to active or inactive

Step 3: Finalise and edit

1. Click Duplicate product to create the new item.

2. You’ll now see the duplicated product with all the selected information copied from the original.

3. Make any adjustments needed — for example:

   • Edit prices

   • Change variants

   • Add new images

   • Update product description

Duplicating products is a quick and efficient way to maintain consistency in your product catalog, especially for styles with small variations.
