Introduction
This guide walks you through how to plan and manage deliveries within a production order in TRAEDE. You'll learn how to split a production order into multiple deliveries (e.g., partial deliveries based on color or style), track their status, and follow the lifecycle from production to received goods.
This is useful for buyers and production managers who work with partial or staggered deliveries from suppliers.
Step 1: Open your production order
Navigate to your production order list.
Select the production order you want to start planning deliveries for.
In the example:
The order contains 40 pieces of Black and 40 pieces of Twisted Red.
You expect to receive Black first, then Twisted Red later.
Step 2: Add a new delivery
On the right-hand side, click Add new delivery.
Choose the inventory location where the delivery should be received.
Your default location is selected automatically.
Click Create delivery.
Step 3: Adjust delivery contents
You are now on the production order delivery page.
TRAEDE will automatically include all remaining products from the production order in the delivery.
Click the Products tab at the top to edit what should be included.
For this example:
Remove all Twisted Red items (click None).
Keep only the Black items for this delivery.
Optionally, set quantities if you’re not receiving the full amount.
Add:
An expected delivery date (e.g., October 1)
A note (e.g., Follow up with supplier)
Click Save.
Step 4: View the delivery in the production order
After saving the delivery:
Click the production order number at the top of the screen to return.
On the production order page, you’ll now see a new Deliveries section.
You will see your delivery listed, including:
Delivery number (e.g., 324-1)
Location (e.g., In Stock)
Expected delivery timeline
You can click the delivery to view its products.
Step 5: Understand delivery stages in the production order
TRAEDE breaks the production order down into the following tabs:
| Tab | Description |
|---|---|
| Full order | Shows all original items and allows you to make changes to the full order. |
| In production | Items still not included in any delivery. |
| In delivery | Items included in a delivery but not yet shipped. |
| On the way | Items shipped from supplier but not yet received. |
| Received | Items that have been received and stored. |
✅ Over time, product quantities will move from In production → In delivery → On the way → Received, reflecting the real-life delivery process.
Step 6: Edit the full order (if needed)
To make changes to the production order:
Go to the Full order tab.
Adjust quantities or products as needed.
Click Save to apply your changes.
Example:
Change the quantity of an item from 10 to 8.
