Introduction
This guide explains how to use the Inventory Reservations tool in TRAEDE. It's designed to help you understand what’s in stock, what’s on order, what’s reserved, and what’s available for sale across your products and variants. This feature is particularly useful for monitoring product availability and managing sales and production efficiently.
How to use inventory reservations
Step 1: Go to the inventory reservations view
From the TRAEDE home screen, go to Reservations.
Use the search filters to locate a specific product. For example, search by product name.
Step 2: Generate reservation data
Select your product (e.g. Back) and press Generate.
You’ll now see:
Product name and item number.
Variants with SKU numbers.
What’s in stock per variant.
How many units are on order.
How many units are requested to be reserved.
How many units are actually reserved.
Final availability after reservations.
Step 3: Understand reservation details by variant
Click on a variant (e.g. Back Black Large) to view detailed information.
Example:
In stock: 14 units
In order: 7 units
Requested reservation: 7 units
Available to sell: 7 units
If you have enough in stock, TRAEDE will reserve the requested units, leaving the remainder available for new orders.
Step 4: View related production and sales orders
Click on a product line to expand the view:
See production orders (if any).
See all sales orders related to the product.
Click on a sales order number (e.g. 1014) to open the order directly.
Inside the order you’ll see:
Customer name
Order number
Total amount
Price
Order date
Delivery date
If a customer ordered 5 units of Black Large, and you’ve requested them to be reserved, and enough stock is available, they will be marked as reserved.
Step 5: Example of non-reserved order
For another variant (e.g. Black Small):
A customer has placed an order for 3 units.
But reservation has not been requested.
As a result, the system does not reserve the 3 units.
This shows the flexibility of TRAEDE’s reservation system — you can control which orders are prioritized for stock.
