Introduction
This guide explains the concept of order addresses in TRAEDE, how shared (connected) addresses work across orders, and when and how to use custom addresses. It also covers how to track address changes in the order timeline.
Step 1: Understand shared vs custom addresses
When viewing an order in TRAEDE, you’ll see both an Invoice address and a Delivery address.
If the address field has a dropdown, it means the order is using a shared customer address, not a custom one.
Changes to this address will affect all other orders that use the same address.
Step 2: Editing a shared address
Click Edit on the address.
Change the address details.
Click Save.
✏️ TRAEDE will automatically update all orders using that same address with your changes.
If the Invoice and Delivery address use the same linked address, both will update simultaneously.
Step 3: Using a custom address
Custom addresses are useful if:
You're using a general customer card (e.g., for influencers).
You want to enter a unique address for just one order without affecting others.
How to set a custom address:
Click the dropdown on the address field.
Select Use custom address.
Enter the new address details and click Save.
✅ You’ll now see the address field without a dropdown, indicating a custom address is in use.
Step 4: Editing and reverting a custom address
Click on the custom address to edit it at any time.
The Invoice address will remain unchanged if it is still using a shared address.
To revert back:
Click the address dropdown.
Select Remove custom address to return to the shared version.
Step 5: Track address changes in the order timeline
All address changes are logged in the order timeline, including:
Who made the change
What was changed
This helps with traceability and understanding the order’s history.
