Changing agent(s) on existing sales (orders, invoices, credit notes)

Introduction

TRAEDE by default does not update the agent on existing sales (orders, invoices, credit notes) when the agent is changed on the customer. This concept is explained further in the article How sales are allocated to agents (sale visibility, commission and reports).

This article will explain how you are able to change the agent on sales (orders, invoices, credit notes) manually.

 

Invoices from orders vs manual invoices

There is a difference in how manual invoices and credit notes are allocated to agents from how invoices and credit notes from orders are allocated to agents

  • Invoices/credit notes from orders: For invoices and credit notes that are made from an order it's the agent on the order that decides which agent they are allocated to. This also means you cannot change the agent directly on invoices/credit notes that are made from an order. You have to change the agent on the order itself instead.
  • Manual invoices/credit notes: For manual invoices and credit notes the agent is set directly on the invoice/credit note. Therefore you are able to change the agent directly on these

 

How to change agent on orders

  1. Go to the order list
  2. Mark the orders you want to update
  3. Select Action -> Bulk update data
  4. Activate Agents and/or Agencies
  5. Select how you want to change the agents.
  6. Notice you have the option to set which agent should be primary

How to change agents on invoices

You cannot change agent(s) directly on invoices made from orders. Read more under Invoices from orders vs manual invoices

  1. Go to the invoice list
  2. Mark the invoices you want to update
  3. Select Action -> Bulk update data
  4. Activate Agents and/or Agencies
  5. Select how you want to change the agents
  6. Notice you have the option to set which agent should be primary
